Welcome to the "NRW International Graduate Research School LIMES - Chemical Biology"
funded by the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology, North Rhine Westfalia (NRW)
Since October 2008, the state of North Rhine Westfalia funds a new doctoral progamme at the LIMES Institute which focuses scientifically on the areas of Chemical Biology and Life Sciences. The programme provides fellowships to outstanding Master or Diploma students who carry out their PhD work in one of the research groups of the LIMES Institute or LIMES-associated institutions at the University of Bonn. About 10 excellent students are selected each year to enter the programme. The selection is based on academic achievements.
The doctoral programme offers in addition to the lab work an interdisciplinary training scheme in the areas of Chemical Biology, Biosciences and Biomedicine which consists of practical courses, lectures and seminars. After entering the programme, the students can obtain their doctoral degree (German Dr. rer. nat./PhD) in a period of three years.
